Since prehistory, people have used animal symbols to shape our own identities. We bend our personae towards the wildness, savagery, naivete or wisdom of our team mascot, costume or astrological sign. I draw on archetypes embodied by animals in fables, legends and suburban culture, and place them in new stories using the forms of masks and toys.
I currently live in Oakland, CA and study at California College of the Arts.
